A native of Germany and a naturalized citizen of the United States, Uta Staley enjoys a wide range of hobbies during her retirement from the travel industry. In addition to supporting sports teams in Chicago, Uta Staley enjoys several Chicago museums, including The Field Museum. The Field Museum hosts numerous events to encourage children to engage with science. One such event is Dozin' with the Dinos. This event gives children aged six through 12 a unique opportunity to stay overnight at the museum and learn about dinosaurs and other topics from museum scientists. Children also can enjoy a unique flashlight viewing of the Inside Ancient Egypt exhibit and learn how to draw live subjects as researchers. The next Dozin’ with the Dinos event is scheduled for January 20, 2017. The event welcomes participants to register as families or as groups of more than 15 attendees.
